Group Rides
The objectives of group rides are road racer and team development. More experienced riders are to share their knowledge of the sport to help improve other riders. Group rides will work on pack riding, road etiquette, double and single pace lines, attacking, bridging gaps, etc. Riders should have tools to fix their own flats/bikes, warm enough clothing, and water (food if need be).
Ride Rules
- All traffic laws are to be obeyed (includes but not limited to stop signs, lights, yellow lines, as well as trail rules).
- Helmets required on all group rides, or whenever wearing team clothing.
- Double pace line allowed as traffic and road conditions permit (single file expected in heavy traffic and urban conditions).
- Sprinting and high intensity portion of training rides allowed only where traffic conditions permit.
- Absolutely no comment, hand gesture, etc. in reaction to automobile driver/passenger actions.
- Use road shoulder whenever possible.
Rider Courtesy
- Use hand and verbal signals to notify other riders, as well as cars, of intent, road hazards, etc.
- Riders are not to be dropped at stop signs, lights, or during mechanical breakdowns.
- Intent of ride (training, fitness, easy) should be advertised prior to start of ride.
